Credit Check/Report
Many agencies through out the states require good credit habits. Why? Well.. say you’re a cop in debt, theres a drug bust and your in it. You arrive at the scene and notice a huge amount of cash unattended, unknown to your fellow officers. Whose to tell you if you should take it or not take it. Nobody but yourself..
Good credit habits often establish good etiquites, paying bills on time, affording what you can and cannot. Things like that are the essential foundations to becoming a “good” cop.

In college I quit my job at riteaid to help my dad in his trucking business. A couple of months go by and my dads business is blowing up. I was litterly running his company at home and at school. He knew I couldnt meet the demands and I knew I couldnt help him full time. At the end he decided to venture out and found himself a third party vendor who could manage his company. Well.. that was my only source of income.
While moms provided me with gas money here and there. I had to apply for credit.. ultimate mistake. A yung lad with no knowledge of how credit works ends up scoring 2 credit cards.. Maan I ran those thangs beyond the limits. 3-4 years later I’m struggling to pay them off. I managed to pay one credit card while ignoring the other.. it fell into collections and eventually turned into a charge off.
So in many ways I need those years to clear my credit up.. and as of now I’m on time with all of my payments.. its just that charge off is really screwin my thangs over.
